For months I’d planned a little reunion with family and friends in Holland, Michigan cause I missed my peeps! Mom flew into Grand Rapids and my brother Steve drove over from Chicago. I reserved a cabin right on the campground for them, so getting together was so easy. Then my precious college buddy Deb drove up from Indiana with her husband Dave. To top it off, our dear Looper friends, Rick and Rhonda, live in Holland so they joined the party!

We took the family on two boat rides – one on Rick and Rhonda’s beautiful 37 foot Carver and also a sunset dinner cruise on the Holland Princess, an imitation riverboat.

The Beach at Holland State Park is gorgeous. Once the pool at the campground closes after Labor Day, I’ll be over there more often. I don’t know how they made this pool the perfect temp but Steve and I lounged in it for hours…
